Developers from D-Link's Russian R&D department have made Yandex.DNS content filtration service extremely simple and accessible for all users. Yandex DNS-server addresses are already preset in the routers' software, so users do not have to do anything complicated to configure DNS. You can preset a single filtration mode for all home network clients at once or assign a personal mode for each of the devices, for example selecting child mode for a laptop used by a child. Yandex.DNS settings can only be modified by a user who has the router access password.
Currently, the following D-Link router models support Yandex.DNS:
DIR-320/A/D1A: beginning with software version 2.5.15,
DIR-620/A/E1A: beginning with software version 2.5.11,
DIR-620/D/F1A: beginning with software version 2.5.15,
DIR-815/A/C1A: beginning with software version 2.5.16,
DIR-825/A/D1A: beginning with software version 2.5.31,
DIR-825/AC/E1A: beginning with software version 2.5.23,
DSL-2640U/RA/U1A: beginning with software version 2.5.2,
DSL-2650U/RA/U1A: beginning with software version 2.5.1,
DSL-2740U/RA/U1A: beginning with software version 2.5.1,
DSL-2750U/RA/U2A: beginning with software version 2.5.1.

Go to the router's Web interface:
— if you have a DIR line router, enter 192.168.0.1 (default IP address) or http://dlink-router in the address bar and press the Enter key.
— if you have a DSL-line router, enter 192.168.1.1 in the address bar and press the Enter key.
Enter the username and password.

To configure the Yandex.DNS service, go to the Yandex.DNS section using the menu on the left-hand side of the page.
On the Yandex.DNS / Security setting / Settings page, select the On checkbox. In the Default Mode Selection section, you can configure filtration mode for all the users of your network at once.
Select Safe Mode in order to block access to malicious and fraudulent websites.
Child Mode allows you to block access to malicious websites and resources which are unsuitable for children.
In Unprotected Mode the DNS-server will operate but will not restrict access to dangerous websites.
When selected, the filtration mode will also operate for all devices newly connected to the router network.
If necessary, you can preset a personal filtration mode for any device on the home network, for example, select child mode for your child's laptop. To do this, go to the Yandex.DNS / Security Settings / Devices page.
On the page that has opened, in the Clients outside the rules section, devices are displayed for which the filtration mode is determined on the Yandex.DNS / Security Setting / Settings page. The mode name is displayed in the Default Mode section.
To create a new filtration rule, click the Add button in the Rules section and enter the MAC- /IP-address of the device you wish to assign a personal mode to. In order to fill in the MAC-address and IP-address fields automatically, select the required device in the Known IP/MAC addresses list.
For convenient device identification, preset the rule name in the Assigned Name field.
Select the Yandex.DNS service operation mode for this rule.
After setting the required parameters, click the Apply button.
Save the settings by clicking the The device configuration has been modified notification in the upper right corner of the page.
